Looking into other 3d visualization programs, I came across Blender. While the price is great (free), I haven’t been able to find any decent examples of photo realistic renderings. I’ve used 3DS Max for years now and have always been happy with the end product. There are tons of tutorials, objects and examples. I’m interested in Blender, but wondering if it’s worth the effort if the end product is not of the same quality of Max. So if any Blender users read this and know of some good examples of Blender’s capabilities, post a comment with the url.

well blender 2.50 will be a lot of from now, they ad the blurry reflection into the shader, it means will see a lot of great render from there. right now the GI is already great with internal AO but still not as good as 3dsmax mental Ray (I also use max for years). but with external renderer such as indigo, it will be a killer couple, it (indigo renderer) also fit to 3dsmax. you can find a lot of great render in http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/
you can see what software that they used to render. happy surfing then

There are some really great renderings in the galleries. I’m definitely going to look into external renderers like indigo.
